Is the economy taking Obama down already?
"There is a huge divide between Wall Street and the folks. Since the president has been in office, stocks are down 17% and every day it seems that financial markets are sending a message to Barack Obama: 'We don't trust you.' But a brand new Fox News poll says the folks do not share that view - President Obama's approval rating is holding firm at 63%. So while the financial markets oppose President Obama, most of the folks are still with him. I chalk that up to the president's personal popularity and the desire of many Americans to give him more time to turn the economy around. But today there was more grim news - General Motors indicates it can not save itself despite a $13 billion taxpayer loan. Talking Points says no more money! Meanwhile, far left Senator Harry Reid is trying hard to push through the $410 billion spending bill filled with 9,000 earmarks, and the Obama administration has just announced a $75 billion mortgage program. In less than two months, the Obama administration has pledged to spend $20 trillion, a staggering amount of money. Finally, here's the kicker - when Fox News asked the folks whether it is possible for the USA to go bankrupt, 61% believe it's possible. And it is."

The Factor welcomed Fox News business maven Neil Cavuto, who gave his take on the economic woes. "The government took a bad situation," Cavuto said, "and made it worse. The president inherited a mess, but he has compounded it with solutions that Wall Street feels won't get things done. He keeps digging a hole and now the market is saying put down the shovel. Wall Street is showing no faith in government." Cavuto turned his attention to the ailing giant General Motors. "GM has gotten over billions of taxpayer money and it's hovering near bankruptcy. Let the markets do their thing. I'm not the grim reaper, I'm the grim realist."

Liberal economics: Making matters worse?
For an opposing view of Obamanomics, The Factor welcomed professor Marc Lamont Hill, a staunch supporter of the president. "Right now his policies are being perceived as hard on business and on the rich," Hill said, "but in the long term people will see growth and they'll be optimistic. There's no alternative - the market has never worked its way out without some sort of intervention. We had to save banks and we have to save the automotive industry." The Factor reminded Hill that "this is a $20 trillion gamble that may not work, and if it does not work he could bankrupt the country."
The truth about Rush Limbaugh and the GOP
Fox News analyst Laura Ingraham entered the No Spin Zone with her take on the White House vs. Rush Limbaugh feud. "The stock market has dropped 3,000 points since election day," Ingraham observed, "and we're talking about a radio talk show host! This is so typical of the old war room tactics of the Clinton administration, and in this administration we have the same characters - Paul Begala, James Carville, and Rahm Emanuel. They're trying to keep Rush Limbaugh at the center of a controversy so we don't focus on the fact that our families are seeing their wealth eviscerated by the Obama policies. It's a massively stupid thing for the White House to be doing." Ingraham also sounded a dire warning about America's future. "We are losing our country and we are losing our financial system. This is the same stuff that's been advocated for thirty years and it has never worked. Our wealth is disappearing, and if we go down this road I believe America will be transformed into a social democracy like Europe. That's how serious I think it is."

Octo-mom's chilling 911 call
The Factor invited attorney and Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly to listen to an audio tape of "octo-mom" Nadya Suleman's frantic call to 911 last year. Suleman repeated one phrase over and over: "Oh God, I'm gonna kill myself." "It's not just that she was hysterical," Kelly observed, "but she kept saying she was going to kill herself in front of her children. And now we learn that she is trying to sell video of the birth of the octuplets. Authorities in California are investigating her capacity for motherhood, and that is why the hospital is not releasing the octuplets to her." Kelly also reported on the Connecticut woman who was brutally attacked by her friend's pet chimp. "The hospital says she lost her nose, her lower lip, and both of her hands. She also suffered brain damage and injuries to her eyes that threaten her vision."

Returning for a second segment, Kelly dissected the case of child predator Chester Stiles, who videotaped himself as he sexually assaulted a 2-year-old girl. "One of his loser associates," Kelly said, "turned in the tape to the police, then another loser associate came forward and identified Stiles as the guy on the tape. They found him during a random traffic stop in Nevada." The Factor described what Stiles has to look forward to. "He got a life sentence, but he can't be put in the general population because he would be killed immediately. So he's going to spend the rest of his life in 23-hour lockdown." Kelly also described the bizarre case of California dentist Mark Anderson. "This guy's patients got more than a cleaning, they got felt up. He was sticking his hands underneath their bras, massaging their breasts, saying it would help with their jaw disorders. He was charged with molesting all these women and he's going to get convicted. So ladies, if a dentist starts grabbing your boobs, get out of there."

Reality Check: John C. McGinley responds to the Factor
During a recent appearance on The Factor, Dick Morris referred to himself as "retarded," which "Scrubs" actor John McGinley found offensive. McGinley, whose son has Down syndrome, helped some children craft a letter expressing their objection to the term. The Factor offered this Reality Check: "Check continues to believe that all people are created equal and we applaud John McGinley's good work." Meanwhile, CNN is running a promo for Lou Dobbs, claiming "Lou's looking out for you." The Factor's check: "Lou's looking out for you? Where have I heard that phrase before? I guess if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Check should be very happy. Here's looking at you, Lou."

Factor Words of the Day
David Leary, South Weymouth, MA: "Mr. O'Reilly, you told Alan Colmes that Obama's problem is Wall Street, not Rush Limbaugh. I would argue the reverse. President Obama is Wall Street's problem."

Diane McMahon, Los Angeles, CA: "I never listened to Limbaugh before the controversy with Obama. Now I am a fan."

Tina Ayala, Rahway, NJ: "I believe Obama is far-left and pretended to be a centrist to get elected."

Pam Muller, Thousand Oaks, CA: "After hearing the Octo-mom's 911 call, you should send her some of your books, Bill."
