Another Terror Attack by Muslim Killers
Guests:Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer & Steven Bucci
"This morning in Paris, three gunmen shouting Islamic slogans invaded the offices of a satirical newspaper with murder on their minds. The gunmen killed 12, wounded 11 others, and there is no question this is another terror attack by Muslim fanatics who are waging war against nearly everybody. Every country on Earth is being impacted by the jihad, yet we still will not admit the truth about this war. President Obama decried 'the senseless violence of the few,' but it isn't the few. The jihadists have strongholds in at least a dozen countries, they have killed thousands of American military people and tens of thousands of civilians. These people are waging a world war, but many people will not even admit this is about fringe Islam. Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean said today, 'I stopped calling these people Muslim terrorists, they're about as Muslim as I am.' That's just dumb, and Howard Dean is in a state of denial. The French newspaper that was attacked by the jihadists had printed cartoons of Mohammed and poked fun at Islam. In the jihad world, that is a capital crime. In Europe, many people are getting fed up. About 18,000 Germans recently demonstrated against Muslims in their own country. They are angry with Islam in general, but that does little good. What should be happening is a coordinated effort among the nations of the world to fight the jihadists and punish countries that enable them. But the world will not do that. Thus the jihad lives and 12 more people die in Paris."

The Factor spoke about the reticence to denounce radical Islam with military analyst Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer. "When the Association of British Muslims makes a strong statement," Shaffer said, "and accepts the fact that this was an Islamic attack, while the White House completely downplays it, there's something really wrong. We have great intelligence assets trying to do the right thing, but they are blinded by this political correctness that sits on top of them." National security specialist Steven Bucci urged the West to forcefully confront radical Islam everywhere in the world. "If Barack Obama wants to give the rest of Islam a break, he needs to go in and crush ISIS, he needs to get rid of people like these three in France. If he would do that, the rest of Islam can live peacefully."
Paris Attack
Guest:Rudy Giuliani
For more on Islamic terrorism, The Factor turned to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. "I started the surveillance of radical mosques in 1994," Giuliani recalled, "because the 1993 World Trade Center attack was planned in a mosque. I had my police do surveillance, and when Muslims argued against that, I told them that no priest or rabbi would object if I had some police sitting in the congregation." Mayor Giuliani lamented the fact that current Mayor Bill de Blasio has effectively quashed the mosque surveillance program. "You don't need probable cause to put a police officer in a mosque or a church or a temple. The way you prevent crime is by using logical deductions, you put more police officers where there is more crime activity."
Controversy in Pittsburgh
Guest:Bill Peduto
Cameron McLay, Chief of the Pittsburgh Police Department, recently held up a sign reading, "I resolve to challenge white racism @ work." He had been handed the sign by anti-cop protesters and is now taking heat for that decision. The Factor was joined by Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto, who supports his chief. "That sign meant that all of us can do whatever we can to eradicate racism," Peduto said, "and we all have a responsibility to do that. For many white people, including myself, talking about race issues is sometimes difficult." But The Factor questioned the chief's judgment: "Some protesters have called for violence against the police. So I don't think this was the smartest thing, it could demoralize the department."
Is It True?
Guests:Eric Shawn & Molly Line
The charity "Kars4Kids," promoted via ubiquitous TV jingles, has been accused of being less-than-forthright about its mission. The Factor asked Eric Shawn to administer some truth serum. "If you donate a car," Shawn reported, "you get a tax deduction. Does it help kids? Yes. But the commercial doesn't say who the kids are. This is basically an Orthodox Jewish charity and a lot of the money goes to another organization that provides education and camp services. The charity lost $5 million a few years ago in a real estate deal." Molly Line scrutinized the rumor that federal taxes are skyrocketing in the new year. "There is an email going around claiming that many different taxes are going up, but there are a host of inaccuracies. The big thing that they get wrong is the date - these taxes actually went up in 2013!"
More on the Paris Attack
Guest:Dennis Miller
The Factor asked Dennis Miller to sound off on the Paris attack. "To echo what Morgan Freeman said in 'The Shawshank Redemption,'" he began, "it's time for the civilized world to get busy livin' or get busy dyin'. We have a problem, and that problem usually lists its return address as the Islamic faith. I would do what Michael Coreleone did when he sent his henchmen over to Fredo and said, 'You have to get hold of your wife or I'll have to do it.' I would issue that statement to whatever passes for moderate Islam in the world - you'd better get hold of your problem or we're going to have to do it." Miller also reacted to the news that a prescription for Viagra was found with Al Sharpton's name on the label. "Many times I have called Sharpton a 'stick-up artist,' but that isn't what I meant! My problem with Sharpton is that he wants to sue Pfizer because they're little blue pills and he thinks they should be little black pills. And if you are in the middle of a corporate shakedown that lasts more than four hours, contact a physician!"
A Ban on Hoodies?
Guest:Martha MacCallum
Some Internet sites are reporting that Oklahoma is considering a ban on hoodies, but Martha MacCallum debunked that story. "The Huffington Post did a story saying you'd get fined $500 for wearing a hoodie," she reported, "but it's not true. They have a law that you can't wear a hood when you're committing a crime, a law that goes back to the '20s and the Ku Klux Klan. A proposed amendment would extend that to any sort of mask or costume." MacCallum also watched footage showing a dad who allowed his baby daughter to cavort with a gigantic snake. "This is a boa constrictor and this guy is a snake handler who wants to open a reptile zoo. This is not normal, I once did a terrible story where a baby was killed by a python in her crib." The Factor worried that "other idiots see this and they think they can do the same thing."
Viewers Sound Off
Factor Words of the Day
Ric Parks, Las Vegas, NV: "The Prince Andrew story is interesting but who knows where it will go. Similar charges against Senator Robert Menendez were buried. Rank has its privileges."

Lisa Henry, West Palm Beach, FL: "Bill, you told John Stossel that all Republicans want smaller government. You are sadly mistaken and grossly naive."

Jonathan McMonigal, Centreville, VA: "O'Reilly, why are you so mean to Stossel?"

Chuck Cabrera, Oro Valley, AZ: "Mayor de Blasio was wrong to demonize the NYPD. But the cops are also wrong for failing to enforce the law."
