Killing the Cops
Guests:Matthew Vadum & Heather MacDonald
"As we saw here in New York City, inflammatory rhetoric can get police officers killed. Back on December 20th, two New York City officers were shot dead in their car by a deranged man who was apparently set off by anti-police rhetoric. Last night a similar situation occurred in Ferguson, Missouri, but the officers have survived and they have been released from the hospital. I believe protesters did not shoot the officers. This was a calculated ambush by anarchists, people who want to create violent situations inside the USA. The total population of Ferguson is just over 21,000 people, so less than one percent of residents were protesting last night. Why the low number? Because there was nothing to protest. The city is changing, trying to put the Michael Brown shooting behind it. But anarchism is growing in America. Wherever controversial situations arise, these people show up looking for trouble. And they are not always condemned. Rapper 'Method Man' went unchallenged on MSNBC when he said 'you reap what you sow.' So according to Mr. Method Man, because the FBI. did an honest investigation under Attorney General Eric Holder, the two police officers reaped what they sowed. That kind of colossal ignorance drives violence, but the MSNBC anchor sits there and says nothing? Good grief! Talking Points does not believe the police shootings last night were racial. They are an anti-American play. And it is the job of the press to expose the haters and not lump them in with legitimate protesters. Right now that job is not being done."

The Factor pursued the cop-shooting with policy analyst Heather MacDonald and author Matthew Vadum. "These are anarchists and Marxists," Vadum declared. "They come from around the country to help exacerbate tensions and create civil unrest. A lot of the groups are funded by George Soros, who wants instability and thinks America needs European-style socialism." MacDonald theorized that racial invective also plays a role in the violence. "There's both local hatred of the cops and there are outside groups. The thug who killed the cops in New York was a Brooklyn criminal, so there is both an anarchist element and a racial element to these shootings. The lesson is that the rhetoric that's being used in the media and by government officials, from President Obama on down, is very dangerous and we need to dial it back."
Howard Dean defending Hillary Clinton
Guests:Karl Rove
Far left Democrat Howard Dean has leapt to the defense of Hillary Clinton, saying she is being attacked by "Republican right-wing nut jobs." The Factor invited reaction from Fox News analyst Karl Rove. "Don't you like being lectured by Howard Dean about nut jobs," Rove pondered. "Everybody on that side is rushing to her defense, but do we really think that the only deleted emails had to do with her daughter's wedding and her mother's funeral? She claims there were 62,000 emails and not one of them contained classified information! This brings back the narrative of the Clintons' belief that the rules don't apply to them." The Factor concluded, "People who fervently like Hillary Clinton don't care, this is about the 20% of independents who will decide the election."
Coverage of Hillary thus far
Guests:Bernie Goldberg
FNC's Bernie Goldberg evaluated media coverage of the Hillary Clinton email story. "The press is doing its job right now," Goldberg said, "and that's partly because the New York Times and the Washington Post broke the stories. That gives the networks, which often take their cues from those papers, permission to run with the stories. But as soon as she has a real, live, breathing Republican opponent, they will cover her run for the White House like a coronation. They won't go as easy on her as they did on Barack Obama because race trumps gender, but they'll go easier on her than on whomever the Republican candidate is."
Hillary Clinton and John Kerry Edition
Guests:Cheryl Casone & Kennedy
The Factor asked Cheryl Casone and Kennedy, both of the Fox Business Network, whether they would enjoy breaking bread with Hillary Clinton. "I would buy her a cheap dinner," Kennedy quipped, "and I would look her in the eye to see if she's likeable, to see if you can get a vibe going." Casone expressed a more heartfelt interest in conversing with the former First Lady. "In addition to the current situation she's in, I would want to talk to her about her days in the White House and HillaryCare. Would she be a little more forthright about what she would do about health care?" Kennedy added that she would definitely decline the opportunity to dine with Hillary Clinton's successor John Kerry. "He is somnambulant, he is a monotone blowhard and I don't think I would enjoy having dinner with him at all."
Going to Pot
Guests:Greg Gutfeld & Bernard McGuirk
Greg Gutfeld and Bernard McGuirk inhaled a new study showing which states ingest the most marijuana, with Rhode Island, Colorado, and Washington at the top of the heap. "There are no Southern states," McGuirk observed, "and no states with a high obesity rate, which throws out that whole munchies canard." Gutfeld put forth his own unique theory for Rhode Island's pot penchant. "Wherever there is more free time there is more pot. Rhode Island is swarming with college students whose only concern is changing their sheets once every semester, so they can get high the rest of the time." The boys also opined on the the Ferguson cop shootings. "All protests attract maggots," Gutfeld said. "Whether it's Occupy Wall Street or Ferguson, there are people who create chaos because that's what they do for a living." McGuirk pointed a finger at the people of the press. "The media that perpetuated the phony 'hands up don't shoot' is the same media that accentuated the Ferguson police problem. So the media is an accomplice."
Comparing Hillary and Obama
Guests:Laura Ingraham
The Factor invited Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham to compare and contrast President Obama and Hillary Clinton. "When Barack Obama was inaugurated he was 47," she pointed out, "but Hillary would be 69. Also, she grew up in the Midwest and has a bit of a common touch with middle America, so I don't think she would have gone overseas on an 'apology tour' like Obama did. On foreign policy she would probably be more hawkish than Barack Obama, while Obama has a warmth on the stump that Hillary doesn't have. As we saw in this press conference the other day, she doesn't have that deft political touch, although she can connect with the political donor class just as much as Barack Obama. They also share an abiding dislike for conservatives."

Factor Words of the Day
Ray Hathaway, Mohave Valley, AZ: "Rudy Giuliani says we are playing a backup role fighting ISIS. That is just what we should be doing. If you and Giuliani think differently, O'Reilly, pick up an gun and join the Kurds."

Barbara Ciestak, Harbor Beach, MI: "No more American blood should be shed in the Middle East. It isn't worth it."

Kaitlyn Moore, Fort Lauderdale, FL: "Mr. O'Reilly, you have inspired me to love America. I will attend the U.S. Naval Academy next fall and truly believe ISIS is evil."
