Don't miss an exclusive audio sneak peek of Bill's memoir, "A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity!"
| In 1957, in the heart of the Eisenhower years, in the third grade classroom of Sister Mary Lurana in Saint Brigid's parochial school in Westbury, Long Island, was a mouthy, obstreperous kid by the name of William O'Reilly. Quite a handful he was, and so one day Sister Lurana bent over him in exasperation in response to some piece of mischief and told him to his face, "William, you are a bold fresh piece of humanity." Little did she know that she was, early in his career as a troublemaker, defining the essence of Bill O'Reilly and providing him with the title of his brash and entertaining issues-based memoir. | |
In his most intimate book yet, O'Reilly goes back in time to examine the people, places, and experiences that launched him on his journey from being a working-class kid to an immensely influential television personality and bestselling author. Readers will learn how his traditional outlook was formed in the crucible of his family, his neighborhood, his church, and his schools, and how his views on America's proper role in the world emerged from covering four wars on five continents over three-plus decades as a news correspondent. What will delight his many fans and surprise many others is the humor and self-deprecation with which he handles one of his core subjects: himself, and just how O'Reilly became O'Reilly. |

Bought the CD and my husband and I have really enjoyed listening to it, especially since you are the one doing the reading. I also attended catholic school and you brought back so many memories. My brothers and I grew up doing just about everything you talked about. Thank you for a great book.

| This audio version is great! This is my FIRST purchase of a book audio by anyone. But being a avid viewer of Bill's show, I am very impressed hearing Bill's book in his own words which has been a great listening experience. I really encourage anyone to purchase the audio even if you already have read his book version. You will not regret, listening to bill - reading his book! I love it!!

I bought the audio version because I don't quite have the time to read as much as I'd like. I listen to it on the way home from work as I'm stuck in traffic, but it sure makes the drive home enjoyable. I'm near the end and I don't want it to end. I especially enjoy the fact that Bill reads the story; it makes it that much better. I highly recommend this book. It's great!

My wife and I recently took a trip to Florida and listened to the Bold Fresh audio CD and found it very entertaining. We certainly could relate to some of Billy's experiences. The audio version definitely made the 12 hour trip a lot more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this to everyone. Great insight into why the Bold Fresh guy is the way he is and, I'll have to say I'm a lot like him in many ways. Thanks Bill for what you do!

Wow, I'd heard of how good this little book was, and now I too agree. It was amusing, and nice to hear Bill's voice explaining his experiences over the years, and it validated why I agree with so much of what Bill addresses on his show.

Very well received by my wife to whom I gave the CD for Christmas along with a Sony WalkMan CD player. Her eyesight condition prohibits her from enjoying reading and the audio book is great subsitute. I received the book last year for my birthday and treid reading it to her but Bill does a much better job.

I bought two of these for my sons because as businessmen they are too busy to read this in book form that I already had purchased for them. Everything that I purchase from this website is of the highest quality and I am satisfied with every purchase plus the profits go to a good cause so what more could you ask for. Thank you Mr. O'Reilly!

I bought the CD version of Bold Fresh because I could never find a "quiet time" to read the autographed text edition I had bought my husband last February. I must say the audio is terrific! I listen whenever I am in my car--my best quiet time--and especially enjoy hearing Bill's voice as he reads his story. You will be delighted with your purchase!

I purchased this CD for my husband, Thomas, for Christmas - he is not an avid reader but I thought he would enjoy listening to Bold Fresh on our trip from Michigan to Florida this coming January. He watches The Factor every night and especially loves talking points and the mail at the end of the show. Looking forward to an enjoyable trip as we listened to your story. Thanks, Emily

| I loved the part about the ice cream and the alarm clock. After listening to your story I see you in a different light. It was enjoyable to hear about your up bringing and what made you a "Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity". I have also read Culture Warrior and enjoyed that tome as well. Thank you for doing what you do and keep it up. You are a breath of fresh air in a mass of the liberal media.

After reading Bold Fresh, I needed more O'Reilly in my life and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Bill tell his story. I was not bold fresh in elementary school, but my brother, Paul, was. And I imagined many of Bill's stories happening to my brother -- it made me laugh out loud! We all seem to share the same history -- no matter what kind of nuns you had. We had Josephites and I loved many of them. My brother, on the other hand, probably has a different take on it. I'll will probably listen to Bill tell his story again -- very enjoyable.

I am 63 years old and feel I know Bill personally. I grew up in America with similar values, me from a southern perspective. God, Country, right and wrong were part of that and I look forward to visiting with my friend, Bill nightly on the tube. I have always worked and have never been part of any demonstration, protest, sit in, stand out or whatever. I have very strong views and do know my American history. I have watched the both political conventions since 1964. I keep up with politics and appreciate someone with my values with a little clout to give the bad guys hell. Keep up the good work, my friend.

My husband and I just finished a road trip with your book and we loved it. We could relate very closely with some of your experiences ( we are from a small town too and my husband went to a Catholic school) and agree with your philosophies on good and evil. Keep up your efforts, you speak for many of the unheard voices out here.

My daughters think I'm crazy, but I'm on my second time for listening to Bill's book on tape. It is funny and so true to the times. My heart aches because my children and grandson will not experience the freedom that we had when growing up. I was never afraid in my neighborhood and now I hover over my grandson to make sure he is safe. I thank you for putting your life out there for us to enjoy. God bless you! Thanks for the discount; I think I'm going to order your "No Spiin" welcome mat.

I had purchased the CD a couple of weeks ago, but put it aside so we could listen to it on our way from Michigan to Washington D.C. for the 9/12 march. We were all pumped up, and being able to listen to Bill on the way down was the icing on the cake. His is a great story teller. The four of us making the trip shared several laughs along the way. I really respect the fact that all the profits from his merchandise go to charity.

OMGosh! My husband and I listened to your cd's while driving from Denver to Durango on our family vacation last week! What a blessing to learn the message behind the man, Bill O'reillly! We passed down the cd's to our son in law who is a Marine (deploying in 2 weeks to Afganistan) he is very excited to listen to them on his month long boat ride. We hope he will keep passing them along to his "band of brothers" while on duty. Thank you for sharing your life and your support of our military!

The book is very good and I highly recommend it. I was afraid it was going to be about Bill O'Reilly..... It IS about Bill O'Reilly but it's also says a lot about you, me, our parents, our grandparents and the events that have influenced all of us. After reading this book, I have a lot more respect for Bill O'Reilly.

I bought the CDs for my husband and we both loved it. We are planning on listening to it again on our next trip. I totally related to his Catholic School experiences because I was a student in a Catholic School in Newton, MA for 12 years and I graduated from St. Bernard's in 1960. That part of the book I really enjoyed because I could relate to his stories about the Catholic School experience and the "good sisters". Overall - really excellent!!

He commutes an hour each work each day and said he just couldn't wait to get back in the car to and from work to continue listening. He loved it. I will plan to purchase your other audio books for him for all of the gift giving holidays. So keep on writing Bill, those occasions come around often!!! Our entire family enjoy "The Factor"! |

I purchased the book for myself and it brought back many memories and laughter about being raised Catholic and attending parochial school with the nuns. I wouldn't change those years for the world, I also enjoyed Bill's life and history lesson on the way. My 18 year old son who was a senior this past year got into some trouble and so his punishment was to read this book...I thought it would instill some morals and values. Turns out he loved the book and has enjoyed watching the show tool I then bought the audio for my 91 year old dad who is a retired physician and can no longer read print and who Bill reminds me of when my dad was a younger fellow! Thanks for making us all enjoy the read!

I really enjoyed reading the book. I find it almost comical how I can say to myself, "yeah, that's what I always thought" or "that's so true, so true" after Mr. O makes a point or explains his perspective. I bought the CD version so my wife could enjoy the book on our long trip across the country - she never seems to have time to sit and read a book.

I purchased the audio CD for my 89-year-old mother, but I also listened to it through earplugs in the gym while working out. There were a few times I noticed someone watching me suspiciously before realizing I was laughing out loud on the eliptical trainer. One fella' interrupted me to ask what I was listening to, when I told him Bold Fresh he asked me what I did for my stomach so I pointed to the ab-crunch machine, when he said he meant "what do I do to calm my stomach", implying he is not a Bill O'Reilly fan, I simply told him he would be doing himself a favor to read the book. Bill's common sense approach to life is refreshing and very entertaining. Only thing I take issue with is assertions about the truth of Judeo Christian values. If I understand Bill correctly, they are the same values I learned from my father, who was atheist. There are plenty of Christians and Jews out there who should read what Bill says about evil. Everyone should read it. Sorry about the bloviating Bill, I am sure my father would have loved you.

This is by far one of the best books I have read. Having grown up in the same area and being the same age I found his sotry to be much like mine. It brought back many memories. Thanks to you for writing it. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are in this age group. Also, if you are interested in knowing why Bill thinks the way he does, this book will answer your questions.

We absolutely loved it! We were on a road trip from Escondido, CA, to Longton, KS, and listening to your book as we drove across the country just made the miles fly by, and we listened intently to every word. We were sorry when it was over! It was such a good book. I do truly appreciate your values. I can't say that I relate to your "upbringing." as I was raised in Rural Kansas, where we were very isolated, and our values were formed by learning to be nice to others, and getting along with others, by offering a helping hand. I guess we would call that "The Golden Rule." Thanks for your book.

Having attended Catholic School myself up to the 8th grade, Bold Fresh brought back many (good, bad and laughable) memories. For me it was Sister Vencentia who made certain that we feared the "pains" of hell. To this day, I still have problems with venial sins. Thanks for the insight into how you came to be the person you are today.....I am a culture warrior too, and your story as told in your own words gives me courage to continue to defend those who cannot defend themselves, and stick to my core values.
