Israel will hit Iran if we don't get the Iranians to back down on nuclear weapons...period. I don't know why the US should be the initiator though. Israel should be the spearhead and if asked, we can ally with them.
If Israel strikes? Beseach our government that they know and assist. Any other strategy will kill Israel. What then?

Bill - you are correct, they will need to be hit. I fear though, that this president will not do so, and by the time we get a president with the gumption - it will be too late... If Obama doesn't hit Iran, he'll join such stalwarts such as Carter, Reagan, both Bushes, Clinton...it's been 30 years; have I missed anyone?
Absolutely! It should have been done back in 1981 - but no one had the will for it then... And now the problem is MUCH more immediate... so what is your point?

When Obama said he would meet with them without pre-conditions, did he mean that he would meet with them even if they refused to talk to him? That could be an awkward photo op.!!
