Many pro-Trump supporters are complaining bitterly about tonight's CNN debate moderators Dana Bash and Jake Tapper. There is angst and loathing all over the place.
In fact, a Trump spokesperson attacked the two earlier this week on CNN itself. And got booted off the air for her effort.
So, is the criticism directed at Bash and Tapper fair? Yes, it is. We have investigated their posture towards Donald Trump, and the bias is undeniable.
Two examples, and I could cite twenty.
December, 2021. Jake Tapper says this: "Trump once said quote, 'I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose voters.' He did try to kill democracy once. And he's going to try to do it again, clearly.'"
Sure. Stormtroopers and the whole thing. This is the liberal line. Tapper nurtures and embraces it with gusto.
January, 2021. Dana Bash, allegedly a REPORTER, she's very huffy. "In his farewell video President Trump takes credit for no new wars - except that he is sitting in a Washington fortified with tens of thousands of national guard troops trying to keep it safe from violence he incited."
Very definitive from the aptly named Ms. Bash. Problem. Special Counsel Jack Smith could have charged Trump with inciting violence, insurrection, or a variety of other heinous crimes. He did not.
Perhaps Dana Bash should be Special Counsel as she absolutely knows a terrible crime was committed.
