With Kamala Harris failing to sustain any momentum at all, the Democratic Party is now trotting out former presidents Clinton and Obama to help her.
At age 78, Mr Clinton is a shadow of his former vibrant self and is not expected to bring much to the campaign trail.
But Barack Obama is a different story. Still revered by most African Americans as well as liberal citizens, Mr. Obama might be able to get out some votes for the Vice President.
However, there's a downside. He is much more authoritative and articulate than Kamala. Even with the gray hair and thin body, Mr. Obama exudes confidence. Kamala Harris does not. In fact, she often looks indecisive, even scared, in public situations.
The contrast between Obama and Harris is striking.
That may hurt Kamala as she struggles to convince non-ideological voters that she can lead the nation in a very dangerous and complicated time.
Surrogate speakers are plentiful, but few can bring success to a weak candidate.
Which is absolutely what Kamala Harris is.
Enjoy the weekend.
