In 2008, Senator John McCain realized on Election Day morning that he was toast. Polling showed his opponent, then-Senator Barack Obama, was well ahead, and the pollsters were correct.

Today, not one polling person can predict with certainty what will happen between Harris and Trump. Many of these people blow smoke, but they don't know. No one does.

In the space of 16 years, America has drastically changed. Social media has a lot to do with that, as millions of Americans have created fantasy worlds that block out the reality of life. Cyberspace is the ultimate false prophet.

If Kamala Harris becomes president and Congress is run by Democrats, the United States will be dramatically altered. Two years from today, most Americans will be suffering economically, and the loss of personal freedom because of leftist government mandates may be overwhelming.

With Donald Trump, it will be business as usual, traditional governance.  If Covid had not happened, Trump would have won reelection in 2020, based on the robust economy alone.

So that's where we are as good Americans cast their ballots.  Uncertainty shrouds the land.  Let's hope relief is delivered quickly.
