Product Description
The Revolutionary War as never told before.

The breathtaking latest installment in Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard's mega-bestselling Killing series transports readers to the most important era in our nation's history, the Revolutionary War. Told through the eyes of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Great Britain's King George III, Killing England chronicles the path to independence in gripping detail, taking the reader from the battlefields of America to the royal courts of Europe. What started as protest and unrest in the colonies soon escalated to a world war with devastating casualties. O'Reilly and Dugard recreate the war's landmark battles, including Bunker Hill, Long Island, Saratoga, and Yorktown, revealing the savagery of hand-to-hand combat and the often brutal conditions under which these brave American soldiers lived and fought. Also here is the reckless treachery of Benedict Arnold and the daring guerilla tactics of the "Swamp Fox" Frances Marion. A must read, Killing England reminds one and all how the course of history can be changed through the courage and determination of those intent on doing the impossible.

Bill O'Reilly is the trailblazing TV journalist who has experienced unprecedented success on cable news and writing nonfiction books. Including the Killing series, there are currently 17 million O'Reilly books in print.  He lives on Long Island.

Martin Dugard is the New York Times bestselling author of several books of history. He and his wife live in Southern California with their three sons.

Excellent history of the founding of our country! Should be required reading for high school seniors and all those disaffected by the USA, for whatever reason. As a reasonably well educated person, post-doctoral masters, I learned a lot. Would definitely have missed a 'Waters World' question on the length of the Revolutionary War. Amazing hardships endured over an eight year period by our ancestors.

I received my 2nd copy of Killing England a few days ago. I was about 3/4 through the 1st copy when due to my own stupidity/memory fart I drove off to the Veterans Memorial Park to finish reading it with the book on top of my car. Both hands were full so I had placed it there for a moment while I unlocked the car. Needless to say I drove off without a second thought. I retraced my route a few minutes later but no luck. Someone else has my book, hope they enjoy it as much as I did. Anyway, I really enjoyed this book. I learned so much about the principle players, places and the chronology of events. For me they are not just names on a wall anymore. I will be reading this book again, and probably again. I received all nine books in the Killing series. Next, I plan to read Killing Lincoln and then Killing Crazy Horse. The Killing series of books have made my upgrade to Premium Member well worth it.

As a person interested in history, I believe Bill's Killing England to be the best history of the events surrounding the American Revolution available anywhere. It is so accessible and well written. It brings to life the immensity of the undertaking that brought our nation into existence. One of the most enjoyable books I can remember reading.
