Well, I tried.  Really, I did.  Sitting in my living room watching the House DOGE hearings, I wanted to be ANYWHERE else, but I hung tough for a while. Finally, I bailed.

 

Listening to simpletons is not my thing. I don't watch The View either.

 

House Democrats on the DOGE committee do not want spending oversight. They don't want foolish programs cut. The object to downsizing the incredibly bloated federal workforce.

 

Okay. Americans voted them out, facing an unprecedented $37 trillion national debt that had to be done.

 

But the lefties won't shut up. DOGE is unlawful, they say.  Elon Musk is running the government, they wail. Our Constitution is being destroyed.

 

So much stupidity, so little time.

 

Democrat icon Franklin Roosevelt did the exact same thing Donald Trump is doing. He brought in a bunch of unelected guys to advise him about the Depression and World War II. Harry Hopkins and the crew had no direct power other than access to FDR.  The left had no objection.

 

This entire DOGE thing could be very good for the American people. Or, it could go south. So let's give it a chance and blank the politics!
