It was disheartening to hear Senator Mitt Romney imply he will vote for President Biden over Donald Trump in November. As you may recall, Romney is retiring from the Senate but is still a person who commands attention.
The former presidential candidate and Governor of Massachusetts is a smart public servant who should know better than to allow his personal feelings to intrude on the welfare of his country.
It is certainly true that Donald Trump's verbal attacks on Romney, the Bush family, Dick Cheney, the late John McCain, and other traditional Republicans have resulted in justifiable anger against him. As one who has been attacked over the course of my career, I perfectly understand the feeling.
Also, I know Mitt Romney, and he's served his country well. So how could he throw in with one of the worst administrations in history?
Today's Democratic Party is promoting disarray on so many fronts; It would take 30 essays just to dent it.
And Joe Biden presides over the carnage.
So, Mitt Romney, do you really want four more years of open border chaos, racial division, collapsing public safety, and astronomical consumer prices?
Is that what you want for this country?
Let me know.
