Debates and Interviews
August 28, 2024

As we predicted, the September 10 presidential debate will take place with ABC News moderating.  The rules will be the same as the June CNN debate: microphones muted while the opposing candidate is speaking.  This is a plus for Trump, who could blurt out anything at any time.

Blurting doesn't win debates.

Meanwhile, CNN has landed the first interview with candidate Harris.  But wait, it's not just her.  Her partner in socialism, Tim Walz, will be by her side on Thursday evening.

Why?

The answer is obvious: the Governor will jump in if Kamala begins to falter. It's much easier to have a "wingman" in any interview.

CNN correspondent Dana Bash will be the interrogator, but I don't expect much.  Ms. Bash is smart, but she's outnumbered three to one: the Vice President, the Governor, and much of CNN's liberal audience will be arrayed.

Tough spot.

Walz is a champion bloviator, and you're right; it takes one to know one.

We will be on this debate spectacle, tweeting throughout with a column to follow.  @BillOReilly will get you a primo ticket.

Kamala did this to interrupt my vacation, but I forgive her.
