Michelle Obama will campaign with Kamala Harris this week in Michigan, marking the first time the former First Lady gets out on the trail. That, in itself, is strange.
Where has Mrs. Obama been? She is extremely popular among Democrats, especially African American women. So, one would think she would be aggressively promoting Vice President Harris. But she's been almost completely out of it until now.
Why? I don't know. Therefore, I should end this essay here. But I can't because there's something very dubious about this.
When the Democratic Party's most attractive voice remains largely silent in a close race, there has to be a reason. I accurately reported that Mrs. Obama would not seek the presidential nomination because she simply didn't want it. But this one - no clue.
If I get one, I'll report it immediately.
In the meantime, we will watch the Kamala-Michelle show closely this week.
