Greetings from vacation land. I was hoping NOT to do any formal work until after Labor Day, but it’s impossible.
The controversy over Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff continues to rage. Many liberals submit that the Senator did nothing wrong by implying an affair between President Trump and his assistant Natalie Harp. Of course there’s no evidence of that; it is a guttersnipe play by Ossoff.
The liberal line is that you can say anything about anyone associated with Mr. Trump because the President uses personal invective himself.

Think about this. For the left, anything goes rhetorically speaking—no standards because of whataboutism.
The left’s support for Ossoff includes vilifying me because it is alleged I did not hammer Trump over his verbal excess. We proved that false by showing the opposite in a visual montage available on BillOReilly.com. Doesn’t matter. The Trump haters believe Ms. Harp is a legitimate target for defamation even though Ossoff’s smear has deeply injured a person who is just chronicling history.
Smearing people is obviously wrong, but it’s become acceptable in many political circles on both sides. I took up Ms. Harp’s cause because she is utterly defenseless. Others are not. Kaitlan Collins has a daily, hourly program, as does Jake Tapper. Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, even Elon Musk have the capacity to defend themselves. We have important things to do here. I can’t get involved in presidential feuding unless it rises to a level where danger is involved. Natalie Harp has been put into that zone by a hateful U.S. Senator, as she is now dealing with a full bucket of hate.
To those trying to justify and rationalize Ossoff’s attack on a defenseless woman, you might take another look. It was wrong, and other factors do not mitigate it.
You either embrace fairness or you don’t.
