Bill O'Reilly: Trump's MSG Rally Will Cost Him Votes

Bill declares that a tasteless joke told at Donald Trump's New York City rally will cost him some votes.

O'REILLY:
Blowback from Trump's Madison Square Garden rally. This is all about a comedian that obviously was unvetted. The Trump campaign people didn't know what this guy was going to say. They couldn't possibly have known, because what he said was that Puerto Rico is a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean. Okay. There are thousands of Puerto Rican voters in Pennsylvania. You want that guy to come up under the banner of a Trump rally and say that? This is a weakness in the Trump campaign. I'm not going to get personal about it, but I know these people. And there are people there that should never be there. Never in a million years. Did Trump know about this comedian? No. He didn't know about it. He delegates that. But some of the people he has are awful. And that's why it happened. And, of course, that's all you're going to hear from Kamala Harris in the opposition.Go.

"I'm very proud to have the support of folks like Bad Bunny and Jennifer Lopez and others who were supporting me before that nonsense last night at Madison Square Garden and are supporting me because they understand that they want a president of the United States who is about uplifting the people and not berating, not calling America a garbage can, which is what Donald Trump, those are the words he has used."

Okay. So Trump did say 'we're like a garbage can for the world. That's what has happened to us because of the open border.' That's what he said. So she takes that out of context and applies it to the Puerto Rican stuff. Okay. They all do it. I understand. But it's my job to tell you what's happening. Why give this comedian that kind of a platform? Now, interesting enough, Jon Stewart said he thinks the guy's really funny. Okay, maybe he is. And he does material like that all the time, apparently this comedian, but not under a presidential banner. You can do it on The Daily Show, Stewart. You want to put the guy on? Fine. I'm not putting him on. But you can. And if you think he's amusing, that's fine with me. But you don't use it in a presidential campaign. That's crazy. And that worries me a bit because we got seven days left in this kind of an unforced era, it's going to cost Trump votes in Pennsylvania.
