- In an interview with TMZ, David Hogg spoke about receiving rejection letters from California colleges (UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, UC San Diego)
- WEDNESDAY March 28:
- Ingraham retweeted an article from the right-wing news site, Daily Wire, about Hogg’s college prospects, Ingraham also appeared to make light of his rejections.

- WEDNESDAY NIGHT:

- In a less than an hour, Hogg had compiled a list of Ingraham’s top 12 advertisers, which he then tweeted to his hundreds of thousands of followers, telling them to contact the businesses.

- On March 29 Media Matters for America posted a list of companies that advertised on Laura Ingraham's Fox News show between March 19 and March 28.
- David Hogg then tweeted out that list to his twitter followers and called on them to stop advertising

- Liberty Mutual Insurance
The insurer on Friday said that no more ads were scheduled for Ingraham's show because her comments were "inconsistent with our values as a company, especially when it comes to treating others with dignity and respect."

The pharmaceutical company tweeted Saturday evening that it would stop advertising on The Ingraham Angle. "We have stopped advertising on Laura Ingraham and we have no plans to resume any time in the future," Bayer tweeted.

The weight-loss gurus told HuffPost Friday, "We have decided to take steps to discontinue advertising on this show."
