House Intel Votes to Release Controversial Surveillance Memo to the Public

The House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines on Monday to publicly release a classified memo written by Republicans alleging FBI abuses in the agency's surveillance, an aggressive move that could feed a GOP push to undercut special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and ratchets up a battle with the Justice Department.

The vote was announced to reporters by California Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the committee, who called it a “very sad day, I think, in the history of this committee.”

President Trump now has five days left to decide whether he has any objections before the memo can be publicly released. The White House seems to favor the memo's release, but wouldn’t explicitly say whether the president will back the effort.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Monday night that the White House had received the report, but a White House official said no decisions were planned before Trump delivers his State of the Union address Tuesday night.

Those who have seen the document suggest it reveals what role the unverified anti-Trump "dossier" played in the application for a surveillance warrant on at least one Trump associate. Rep. Trey Gowdy suggested the memo indeed addresses whether the FBI relied at least in part on the dossier -- paid for partially by Democrats and the Clinton campaign during the 2016 presidential election -- to apply to a secret federal court to get a surveillance warrant, purportedly on then-Trump adviser Carter Page.

Justice Department Inspector General Report Update

Inspector General Michael Horowitz is investigating several facets of the FBI’s investigations into Hillary Clinton’s email servers and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election. The inspector general is looking at whether McCabe should have recused himself from the Clinton investigation given that his wife ran a Democratic campaign for public office in 2015. The inspector general is also looking at text message exchanges between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who were involved in both the Clinton and Trump probes.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s sudden decision on Monday to leave the bureau appears to be linked to a forthcoming report from the Justice Department inspector general about the bureau’s investigations during the 2016 election, according to reports from the New York Times and CNN. McCabe’s departure from the bureau was expected, but not until March, when he would qualify for his full government pension.

Bill O’Reilly’s State of the Union Preview

The 2018 State of the Union Address will be given by the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 9pm EST in the chamber of the United States House of Representatives. The Democrat response will be given by Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III.

In Trump’s State of the Union address tonight he needs to act presidential. He can accomplish this by focusing on all of his achievements over the past year. What Trump shouldn’t mention is anything about the press or media coverage since he took office. Some key points that Trump should make are the following: the economy and how it’s growing, jobs are being created so people are more likely to spend money. Since Democrats don’t have an economic plan, it’s embarrassing to the party that Trump has been able to create this much success in a short period of time. The second topic that Trump should focus on is national security. In less than a year, the United States strategy has crushed ISIS in Iraq and Syria. While ISIS may not be completely gone, the organization has been shattered. Then Trump should shift to Russia & China where he can talk about how he’s able to work with these countries unlike Barack Obama. Trump then needs to address immigration. He has done everything that he can to give the Democratic Party what they want in terms of DACA. The last topic that Trump should discuss is the social division in America. Right now, Americans hate each other. Social division is eroding the way of life in America. The country is not united like it used to be and we need to find a way to fix that.

Embarrassment for NBC News after Lester Holt apparently falls for North Korean propaganda

NBC News is reeling after “Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt appears to have been fooled by North Korean propagandists giving a cheery report from a ski resort in the Hermit Kingdom that looked to be bustling when it was widely known to actually be a ghost town.

Holt reported for “Nightly News” from the Masikryong ski resort last Monday, a facility that is the brainchild of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and is typically empty. The resort, built to create the appearance of a prosperous nation, was largely deserted during peak 2017 ski season, according to multiple reports by Fox News, The Daily Mail, and other sources.

For Holt’s appearance, the North Korean government appears to have brought in skiers wearing identical outfits and staged the scene, something Holt did not appear to realize. Holt’s coverage was overseen by NBC News President Noah Oppenheim, who traveled with Holt and a camera crew to North Korea weeks before NBC will cover the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

North Korean propaganda website “Today Chosun” began promoting the extravagant site, labeling it as Kim Jong Un’s signature achievement. According to the North Korean news agency “The resort is about 14 million square meters in its total area, and has 10 slopes, which are 40 meters to 120 meters wide.” Masikryong ski resort cost an estimated $35 million to build and was up and running within 10 months. Around 40 percent of North Korea’s people are undernourished, according to the Global Hunger Index.

Americans Who Practice Yoga Contribute to White Supremacy, Michigan State University Professor Claims

Shreena Gandhi, a religious studies professor at Michigan State University recently co-authored an article titled “Yoga and the Roots of Cultural Appropriation”, along with Lillie Wolff. Wolff is a self-described “anti-racist white Jewish organizer, facilitator and healer.”

The authors opened the article with describing the origins of yoga, the history and the various reason why yoga in recent decades has become too popular in the U.S. Gandhi centered in on the fact that she believes that people are using yoga to continue to make money off the clothing and apparel, not using yoga for the original intention.

Gandhi described this as “how the cultural void of white society is intimately mixed with white supremacy, capitalism, and globalization; and it is within these oppressive structures that cultural appropriation and the yoga industrial complex flourishes.”

The two authors argued the recent explosion of yoga studios, yoga video, apps, yoga pants and other yoga swag and described this as evidence of the appropriation of yoga. They further described these factors as a part of “systemic racism” that is built on “the labor of black people and people of the global south”.

In the article, Gandhi claimed that Americans who practice yoga are contributing to white supremacy and promote the “yoga industrial complex”. They centered in on the fact that white people are culturally appropriating yoga from its roots and the Indian people.

Gandhi further argued that “White Americans should learn yoga’s history, acknowledge the cultural appropriation they engage in and possibly reduce the cost of yoga classes for poor people, a group that often includes people of color, and recent immigrants, such as Indian women to whom this practice rightfully belongs.”

Gandhi and Wolff continued in the article stating, “we would argue one of the goals of white supremacy is to buffer white people from the pain that comes from the process of exchanging cultural grounding of the unearned power and privilege of whiteness.”

Gandhi further claimed that few white people, “make the connection between their attraction to yoga and the cultural loss their ancestors and relatives experienced when they bought into white dominant culture.”

They concluded their article saying, “We must ask, in what ways are we complicit in a system that harms people of color, queer and trans people, poor people, people with disabilities, and immigrants?”

Mail Time!

  • Bill, with all these investigations going on, I STILL DON'T SEE ANYONE GOING TO JAIL!
  • Mr. O'Reilly,
Can you please explain why Hollywood continues to bash President Trump? It seems everything they do now is based around that premise. They are grossly mis-informed but do not seem to care? Sunday night's Grammy's were embarrassing. Do they think that all of this will somehow manifest itself into getting him out of office? It has become increasingly harder to talk to friends about politics as well because their news sources are so anti-trump. You have to keep quiet now that you are a Trump supporter.
