Here's something to consider: I believe most Republican voters understand the downside of President Trump, but the majority of Democrats have no blankin' idea what Kamala Harris stands for.
Of course, there's no data on this, so I could be wrong.
The raucous convention in Chicago has convinced me that Democrats simply do not care that Ms. Harris is a devoted leftist who would promote "California values" if she becomes president.
So, what are California values?
Equity is the most important one. That is providing more opportunities for selected groups to attempt to right historical wrongs.
Then there is onerous taxation. To provide an endless list of free stuff to the favored groups, you have to take money from workers and businesses. California leads the league in doing that, which is why so many are leaving that state.
Restorative Justice is next. That is light or no punishment for miscreants. A "reimagining" of the social contract that is supposed to protect folks from criminal behavior. Not in California. There, it is an unjust society that "stimulates" crime, not the individual who must be persuaded, not forced, to obey the law.
And, finally, the power of the state over parental authority. Children must be raised by a liberal "village."
Kamala Harris believes in all of those things and will try to impose them if elected. No question about it.
See you this evening for the No Spin News.
