The chaos surrounding the Trump administration continues much to the detriment of the country. And that’s not surprising since the full power of the media is arrayed against the President. When only some Fox News commentators, radio guys, and Roseanne are on your side - the situation is tough.

Media hysteria broke out this week after Trump’s new lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, told Sean Hannity that Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, had paid Stormy Daniels using retainer funds provided by Trump. The problem is that the President had previously stated he did not know how the stripper had been compensated. So the hate-Trump media is branding him a liar.  

This Daniels thing has become a major problem for Mr. Trump.  She and her lawyer are in this for money and fame. The media is all too happy to provide them exposure, no pun intended, in order to damage Trump. Unless campaign money was used to pay Daniels, and Giuliani has flatly denied that, there is no crime. But the one-two punch of Daniels and Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller is hurting Trump’s ability to govern, no question.

Meanwhile, the stock market wobbles and the country’s leadership is distracted because of an alleged affair that happened long ago when Trump was a businessman. Insane.

The press will never stop trying to destroy Donald Trump. But he must stop fogging up the landscape. Tell the truth, Mr. President, about any and all controversies. Your base and the country deserve that. Then, when your detractors inevitably lie about you, the public can believe what you put forth.

Donald Trump needs to end the chaos without creating more of it. A very difficult thing to do.
