Our election coverage kicks into turbo today as the presidential vote is just two months away.  At this point, Donald Trump has an opportunity to win if he performs well in the debate one week from tonight.

So far, Mr. Trump has not effectively defined Ms. Harris for Americans who do not follow politics.  And those folks are legion.

It's not difficult to marginalize the Vice President who has done little to help the Americans on a national level.  In fact, her record is one of the weakest in American history for a major party nominee.  When you read "Confronting the Presidents," that will become clear. 

Ms. Harris is also unable to articulate specific policies that might deal with vexing problems. Talking about "joy" isn't going to cut it.

The problem, so far, with Donald Trump is that he is imprecise in his presentation. He has a record to run on but is constantly bogged down in foolish controversies that mean nothing.
