Trade War
So now we have a trade war with Mexico and Canada.  Ordinarily, I would be able to analyze this situation backed up by data. But there are no facts here because nobody can say with certainty what will happen.  It's all speculation, guesswork.

But here's what I know.  Mexico is a corrupt country, top to bottom, and it has greatly damaged the USA by failing to confront mass migration and drug dealing. This has been going on for decades.  The Narcos pretty much run the show down there.  Shameful.

Mexico's economy, which doesn't provide prosperity to its citizens because of corruption, is totally dependent on America.

So why not use tariffs to wake Mexico City up? Either work with Washington to stop the madness or pay big.  This seems logical to me.

Canada is different, not as extreme.  It, too, is utterly dependent on the USA for economic prosperity.  But the trade scenario is badly rigged in Ottawa's favor. Nepo-Guy Justin Trudeau is on the way out, and I expect a better arrangement will be negotiated.

Finally, President Trump doesn't really care what happens internally, north and south of the border.  He just wants better deals.

He'll get them.

See you this evening for the No Spin News from Florida.
