George Clooney has had an epiphany—perhaps. The 63-year-old leftist actor is one of the most reliable liberals in Hollywood. He has never seen a big government program he didn't like and is actively involved in fundraising and donating to liberal causes, as he did a few weeks ago in Hollywood. Clooney's party brought in $28 million for Joe Biden's campaign.
But now George does not believe that was money well spent. Refunds? He writes in The New York Times that the President is too old and feeble to beat Trump. Thus, Joe should withdraw.
So how did this happen, logistically? Clooney does not do much political writing. Did he suddenly pen the essay and send it off to the Times?
Probably not.
More likely, the newspaper solicited him. That's because The Times has editorialized twice that Joe must go and wants to continue the pressure. Clooney represents the big donor Hollywood crowd the President needs.
Chances are George checked with close friend Barack Obama before he agreed to pull a Brutus on Joe and write the article. Obama headlined Clooney's recent fundraiser but now also believes Biden will lose to Trump. The former President was last seen gently leading the current President off stage to a safe space.
Poor Joe Biden. He's now left with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jill. The Casamigos are fleeing. It's all so tragic.
And Kamala is throwing in the bullpen.
See you this evening for the No Spin News.
