Reaction to the Manhattan indictment of Donald Trump was predictable, that is no surprise. Republicans and conservatives are generally crying political persecution, while Democrats and liberals applaud.

Thus the hatred level in America ratchets up to the highest level since the Civil War.

So, what now? The legal case will proceed, and that could take years. Meanwhile, Donald Trump will continue his presidential campaign, most likely picking up support from voters who see blatant unfairness from the ultra-liberal DA Alvin Bragg.

New Yorkers will understand that Mr. Bragg is soft on crime, as all the statistics show. But he's on a mission to get Trump, using a low-level beef he would usually ignore.

No one knows how this will play out.  What we do know is Donald Trump will have to pay lawyers millions in his defense. We also know that a Special Prosecutor beholden to the Biden Administration is eager to charge Trump for inciting the January 6 riot. It will be easier to do that after Bragg's indictment.

While Donald Trump brings some problems onto himself, the leftist political machine is determined to destroy him, and there are no rules. That's what Trump is facing; a powerful, well-financed campaign of destruction.

It's wrong.
