After all the debate hype last week, now we have a demand from Donald Trump that President Biden take a "drug test" before the presidential sparring.  Yes, that's correct, Trump wants Biden to submit to a medical procedure and produce the results before the "Thrilla in Atlanta" on June 27.

The reason?  The Don says the President was "high as a kite" while delivering the State of the Union address back in March.

He doesn't want Biden "tripping" during the debate exposition.

So, we're not exactly off to a great start here, are we?  Don't believe the CNN presentation will resemble the Lincoln/Douglas debates.  Now, we have to figure out how to handle Trump's demand.

I don't think Wolf Blitzer is qualified to administer the test, but he does look somewhat like a doctor.   If Biden was, indeed, wired during the SOTU, is it possible Jake Tapper sold him the speed? 

Just asking.

So this could be a problem.  People fake drug tests all the time.  The former President didn't accept the election results, so how is he going to process a drug test for Joe?  Will the MAGA legions storm the testing center?  And speaking about storming, how will Ms. Daniels be involved?  Porn people are medically tested all the time, so maybe MSNBC will hire her as an expert analyst.

After Mr. Trump's demand on Friday night, folks in Botswana and all over the world have to be thinking: Is this really happening in the United States, the most powerful country in the world, the beacon of freedom and opportunity?

Well, yes, it is.

But if you know your history, it's only a ripple.  Andrew Jackson shot a critic dead. A former Vice President, Aaron Burr, killed a former Treasury Secretary, Alexander Hamilton, in a duel.  John Adams had journalists thrown into prison.

We might think about reviving that last one, with blanket immunity bestowed on me, of course.

And, so, the presidential campaign is off to an excellent start.  The moderator of the first debate, Tapper, says Trump is Hitler redux.  Trump apparently believes Biden should be in a rehab center, and the President himself can't work the GPS to find Georgia.

Meanwhile, the American people have to endure five and a half more months of this.

Many drugs may be needed.
