My whole working life I've listened to politicians talk about what they are going to do. Yesterday, Donald Trump said he would cut energy bills in half.
At the same time, Kamala Harris is telling folks she's going to "bring down" housing costs.
But absent from the promise procession is the most important word: "how."
We live in a country where words often have no meaning. We are barraged with "at the end of the day," "deep dive," "the next level," that kind of bilge. Next to professional athletes, politicians are the worst: generalizing, misleading, spouting foolish propaganda.
The media is almost as bad. Welcome to the cliche hall of fame: "What do you make of that," "Stay with us," "We'll have to wait and see."
It's all numbing and insulting. How about uttering a cogent thought once in a while? Maybe put forth a specific solution.
Too much to ask, I know. And we, the people, are accepting it. Another cliche: we are being dumbed down.
And the corrupt crew knows it.
See you this evening for the No Spin News.
