Bill caught up with One America News Network’s Patrick Hussion who kicked off by asking Bill what he has been up to since his departure from Fox News Channel (you might already know the answer if you are a Premium Member – and you should be!). 

Bill spoke about this forum and the No Spin News podcast, which is available here Monday through Friday at 7pm ET. The two spoke about Legends & Lies: The Civil War, and the parallels between the divided society of that time as compared to today. 

O’Reilly on our “No Rules” Culture

What you have here is a no–rules culture. It used to be there are rules in journalism, the first rule in journalism, when I was at Boston University studying it, was ‘Seek the truth’.

Gone. Gone.

Now, we have an ideological media, both on the left and the right. On the left, because of Donald Trump’s election, they are so hateful, in the media and in the real ideological precincts, that all rules are out the window – and we saw that. With the comedian holding the head, with other people saying the vilest things about Donald Trump. With the “Resistance” movement, that we are not going to support anything the president does, not matter how good it might be for the country – and indeed,` we are going to try to destroy him at every turn.

Once you have that, it is not only an attack on the president, but an attack on everybody who voted for Donald Trump. So you’ve got this tremendous Hatred (With a capital H!) developing between the two camps.

So I said, months ago, if this continues, and it obviously is, you are going to have enflamed people going out, and they are going to start to physically hurt people with whom they disagree. Unfortunately, my prophecy came true.

That was a political shooting. There was no other motive for it.

This guy is a crank, he is demented, he was deeply enmeshed in the far-left, and he decided to go out, get guns, and kill as many Republicans as he could. 

It was only because, as everybody knows by now, the Capitol Hill police were there, guarding Congressman Scalise, that all of the Republicans on that baseball diamond weren’t killed, which should really send a chilling message to every American citizen.”
