Here is the first message of 2023, and I wish it could be more hopeful. But it can't because the problems we had last year have not been fixed, so they are hanging around. I'm talking about an open season for migrant crossings, the failure to stop deadly narcotics being smuggled from Mexico, high prices for working people, plenty of crime but little punishment, etc.

To be fair, gas prices have declined, but the airline industry has collapsed, so transport is a wash.

The reason vexing problems do not get solved is poor leadership. President Biden is one of the weakest chief executives in history. Vice President Harris is weaker than Biden. The entire cabinet is incompetent, led by Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. It's scary.

We've seen this feature film before. President Martin van Buren aka the "Little Magician," disappeared during an economic panic on his watch.

James Buchanan ignored the growing anti-Union violence in the south, enabling the Civil War.

Herbert Hoover sat around theorizing while millions of Americans starved after the stock market crash of 1929.

Now we have a ten-hour work week from Joe Biden, who can't wait to depart for Delaware, where there are few migrants.

Biden is not going to get any better. He is befuddled and lazy. So that's what we're looking at in '23.

Sorry to paint this painful picture, but it's my job.

See you this evening for the No Spin News.
