Influencers and online celebrities are nothing new but every once in a while, a new subject raises eyebrows.
Enter Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who served seven years in prison for the murder of her mother with the help of an online boyfriend.
Blanchard's abuse at the hands of her mother is well documented, and Blanchard has been painted and should be portrayed as a victim, a somewhat sympathetic figure. That's understandable.
But it feels weird to see the woman, not in her 30s, be celebrated on social media, talking about her sex life with her husband, and generally being treated like a reality show star.
Is that too far?
