"The U.S. Department of Agriculture has hired a man named Samuel Betances to conduct 'cultural sensitivity training' for USDA employees. Betances has used his position to demean the United States and to indoctrinate his captive audience. The watchdog group Judicial Watch obtained videos of Betances' rants, and documents show that in 2012 'sensitivity seminars' were held at least 16 times, costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars. Why is this happening? It's a total waste of taxpayer money and insulting to the country. Talking Points believes the reason stuff like this goes on is the culture of liberalism that has gripped Washington. Progressive thought is in, but once the taxpayer gets charged for that propaganda, that's malfeasance. The direct villain here is Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, former Governor of Iowa. He is apparently committed to imposing liberal thought on the people who work for him. The big picture here is that the Obama administration is not only espousing liberal policy, it is now demanding that federal employees toe the line. I now pronounce the federal government officially out of control."
The Factor pursued the USDA scandal with Judicial Watch director Tom Fitton and Alexis McGill Johnson of the liberal American Values Institute. "I think it's very forward-looking for the U.S. government to be doing this," Johnson averred. "For many years corporations have been promoting cultural awareness and diversity training in the name of changing demographics. This is not a political point of view, it's an understanding that we all have biases." But Fitton portrayed the sessions as wasteful and malevolent. "This is abuse of the government employees, he's forcing them to say controversial things. Our documents show that some of the folks had to be there, and Betances is being paid a lot of money. He's also made more than $2.8 million from the Defense Department for programs like this and we're getting emails from all over the government about programs like this. We have uncovered quite the scandal." The Factor implored the feds to stop wasting money on frivolous programs: "I don't want to pay for this because I don't believe this is fair or constructive." |

Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham opined on the USDA's expensive training sessions. "This diversity training became all the rage back in the 80's," she said, "and that's when the President and the First Lady were in college. It became very vogue for corporations to take on this diversity training because it protected them in discrimination lawsuits. But in fact this gets people more resentful because the implication is that the people attending the training are biased or racist or don't like women in the workplace. So this doesn't even work, and the fact that the taxpayers have to subsidize this malarkey is ridiculous!" |

A TV station in Harrisburg, PA has calculated that a single mom with two kids would need a job paying $82,000 a year in order to match the state and federal benefits available to her. The Factor crunched the numbers with Harrisburg TV reporter Chris Papst. "Here in Pennsylvania," Papst stated, "the state matches federal money so that a single mother of two can get $15,000 in free day care. And if she has a home, the state will spend up to $6,500 to make their home more energy-efficient. If you talk to the people who administer these programs and the politicians who advocate for these programs, they have good reasons for why these programs should exist. The argument is that if the taxpayer subsidizes child care, the mother can eventually get a job." The Factor reported that "Pennsylvania is second-highest in the nation when it comes to welfare payments, behind only Rhode Island." |

The Factor asked mental health experts Wendy Walsh and Bonny Forrest why so many female teachers seducing their male students. "This is an epidemic," Forrest said, "and I think the Internet plays a role because social media blurs the boundaries and allows students and teachers to connect in inappropriate ways more easily. This is the abuse of a relationship of trust." Walsh theorized that many women are striving to keep up with men in all areas of life. "Women have adopted a male model of everything, and in terms of sexuality they've adopted this stereotype of an aggressive male. Many women think this will not hurt the boys, that this is okay." The Factor added that the women predators may be psychologically impaired: "The women doing this could have dates, they could have appropriate relationships with men their own age, but they choose to pick powerless and defenseless boys. That is a psychological disorder." |

South African runner Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee who competed in the 2012 Olympics, is accused of shooting and murdering his girlfriend. Attorney and Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly reported that Pistorius could conceivably beat the rap. "I didn't believe that 48 hours ago," she said, "but I do now. I believe his story is very implausible - he claims he got up in the middle of the night when he heard something and walked right around the bed where Reeva would have been sleeping. But what's plausible and what's provable are two different things. We've just found out that the lead detective in the case is facing seven charges of attempted murder himself. He also bungled so many things, he didn't protect the crime scene. When this goes to trial, a judge will make the decision, not a jury." |

President Obama's uncle, 68-year-old Onyango Obama, has been living in the USA illegally for 43 years and was arrested for drunken driving in 2011. When FNC's Jesse Watters went to Massachusetts and paid Uncle Onyango a visit at his liquor store, the Kenyan native refused to answer any questions. Back in the No Spin Zone, Watters revealed more details about the President's uncle. "Immigration officials had this guy but let him out after two weeks," Watters reported. "I spoke with immigration agents off the record and they say that a guy who fits Onyango Obama's profile would automatically get deported after a DUI, but he is getting special treatment. He's a high-priority deportation case but they're letting him stay." |
