Reaction to the Paris Terror Murders
"President Obama has been very quiet in reacting to Muslim killers murdering 12 people in Paris. The president's only statement was that we cannot let a few people inhibit freedom. As Talking Points pointed out, we are not dealing with a few people here. Extreme Islam has taken deep root and is at the source of ultra-violence around the world. But in The New York Times, Huffington Post and other left-wing media you will not hear that. After the murders in Paris, what we read was the following: All Muslims are not bad, freedom of speech is good, we must not demean Muslims or create Islamophobia. Nowhere on the left did you hear a solution about how to combat the jihad. Ever since he was elected, President Obama's rhetoric has been soft on the Muslim threat. He has said that terror organizations 'aren't representative of a broader Muslim community.' So let's take a hard look at the broader Muslim community. There are about 1.6 billion Muslims and most of them are good people. But a substantial minority are evil and the Islamic faith can easily be used to condone violence. That is what the West is avoiding. You can't keep saying most Muslims are good and then do nothing to neutralize the bad Muslims. Most Germans were not Nazis, but they looked the other way as Hitler and his homicidal crew committed atrocities. Most Japanese did not endorse mass murder against civilians, but they continued to support their government which did that all over Asia. The majority of Muslims should have joined with America and other nations to fight the jihad, but they have not. Pakistan, Iran and many other Muslim nations actually help terrorists. That has got to stop, and the way to make it stop is to slap economic embargoes on Pakistan, Iran and the other offenders. But the world will not do that until there is a catastrophe that makes 9/11 look like a school dance. Iran is close to getting nuclear weapons, biological warfare is a real possibility, and there is no question the jihadists will commit mass murder if they can. So where is America's policy to fight the jihad? It is long past time that President Obama and all other Western leaders stop talking nonsense and begin to formulate a coordinated plan. And it is time to stop making excuses for the Muslim nations who do not fight the jihad. We are either going to live in a civilized world or we are going to be destroyed. It is as simple as that. There is a problem in the Muslim world. And, sadly, among those not getting that is President Obama."
How to Deal with the Jihad
Guests:Haris Tarin & Hussam Ayloush
The Factor examined the issue of Islamic extremism with prominent Muslims Haris Tarin and Hussam Ayloush. "A lot of what you said is true and we've been saying it as Muslims," Ayloush asserted. "There is a problem of violent extremists who are narrow-minded murderers. Muslims around the world are doing a lot to counter them, but until we are seriously committed to supporting democracy, we are not going to see change." Tarin insisted that no one is paying a bigger price for terrorism than Muslims themselves. "There are Muslims on the front lines in Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, and Afghanistan who are victims of terrorism, and over 50,000 Pakistani soldiers and policemen have died as a result of the war on terror and extremism. Muslims are the primary victims of terrorism, and there are over 1.6 billion Muslims in this world who do great work on a daily basis." But The Factor maintained that "the world is being crippled by Islamic extremists and the world is too cowardly to unite against them."
How is President Obama Handling the Paris Attack
Guest:Ed Henry
President Obama has been relatively quiet about the Paris terror attacks, preferring to talk about the economy. Fox News White House correspondent Ed Henry elaborated on the White House's priorities. "President Obama did mention Paris yesterday," he affirmed, "but I can tell you are not happy with the president's focus on this. It's very clear that he is trying to focus on other things and not make this the top priority. He is talking about the economy because he has a State of the Union address coming up, and that will not be about jihad."
Staying Quiet
Guests:Andrea Tantaros & Jessica Ehrlich
Conservative Andrea Tantaros and liberal Jessica Ehrlich also analyzed the president's apparent reluctance to confront global Islamic terror. "We have a policy that runs counter to defeating jihad," Tantaros declared. "At a time when we should be ramping up interrogation tactics and keeping Gitmo open, this administration is going against the CIA and releasing terrorists. Everything that we're supposed to be doing, with the exception of droning terrorists, we are not doing. This puts us in enormous danger." But Ehrlich took issue with that analysis. "I don't think the president is avoiding the jihad issue. We have a policy to seek out jihad wherever it may be and then have all of our agencies working with nations across the world to share information and defeat them." The Factor concluded with an ominous warning, saying, "We are in more danger today than we have been since 9/11"
Islamist Terror in Paris
Guest:Bernie Goldberg
After scouring liberal coverage of the Paris attack, media analyst Bernie Goldberg entered the No Spin Zone with his assessment. "What liberals are really worried about," he groused, "is a 'backlash' against American Muslims. A lot of these liberals have a dark view of America - they see cops attacking innocent young black men, they talk about 'white privilege,' and in this case they're afraid that there are a lot of yahoos out there who want to beat up innocent Muslims. But it's a false narrative." While acknowledging that it is not likely to come about, Goldberg put forth a proposal for peace-living Muslims. "Let's have a Million Muslim Man March on Paris, Washington, London, Madrid, Cairo, and every capital in the Arab world. These would be good Muslims who say you are not going get away with doing this in our name. But it's not going to happen, you're not going to get 27 Muslims out to march and condemn what's going on!"
Presidential Politics
Guest: Laura Ingraham
Can a politician such as Mike Huckabee, who regularly professes his deep faith, be elected president? The Factor posed that question to FNC contributor Laura Ingraham. "Social conservatives are in a bind," she conceded. "For 40 years they have wanted to have Roe v. Wade overturned, but after all their efforts it hasn't happened. So there's some demoralization in the social conservative community. Mike Huckabee is a formidable voice - he's a great speaker with an ability to reach people, and a lot of people agree with him that we have a spiritual deficit. But show me a pathway to the nomination for Mike Huckabee, especially when he'll be up against current governors. Jeb Bush is the dominant figure in Republican politics today."

Factor Words of the Day
Mike Vega, Las Vegas, NV: "Islam is not compatible with democracy, Bill. You and the rest of the media will not admit it."

Meg Ishikawa, Okinawa, Japan: "My father used to say the difference between liberals and conservatives is the ability to think logically. After listening to Howard Dean call the Islamic killers a cult, I realize how smart my father was."

Detra Kimmins, New Fairfield, CT: "Bill, you called the NYPD professional, yet you laugh at them leaking embarrassing things about Al Sharpton. That is unprofessional."
