The Ebola Situation Getting Worse
Guest:Rep. Tim Murphy
"When President Obama cancels a fundraising trip, you know things are serious. That's what he did today, meeting instead about the growing Ebola chaos in the USA. Texas health authorities have announced that a second health care worker has contracted Ebola. She is 29-year-old Amber Joy Vinson, a nurse who treated Thomas Duncan, the Liberian man who died from Ebola. That makes two nurses infected after treating Duncan, and this latest case is more harrowing because Ms. Vinson flew from Cleveland to Dallas on October 13th. Apparently she was carrying the Ebola virus, so everybody on that flight has to be monitored, as well as all the people they came into contact with. So you can see how Thomas Duncan coming into the USA on a false premise has led to disaster. Talking Points has demanded that U.S. authorities stop admitting West Africans right now. We have also called for the resignation of Dr. Thomas Frieden, head of the CDC, because he opposes that. There could be an even more frightening scenario on the horizon. Marine General John Kelly, who's in charge of the U.S. Southern Command, says that all hell could very well break loose if Ebola breaks out in Haiti or Central America. That assessment is speculative, but it is certainly possible. So the federal government looks stupid. It under-reacted to the Ebola threat, it still isn't imposing a travel ban from West Africa, and our border is porous. This is what happens when leadership is weak. Dr. Frieden, out of there! President Obama, stop the fundraising, pay attention to your country. Everybody else, stay calm but let your Senators and Congress people know you want that travel ban now."

The Factor was joined by Republican Congressman Tim Murphy, whose committee has been investigating the government's response to the Ebola situation. "I have also been calling for a travel ban," Murphy said. "When President Obama told us that screening passengers from Africa was going to work, we knew it would not. If you had the chance to come to the United States for health care, would anyone tell the truth? There needs to be restrictions." Murphy also revealed that he spoke with CDC boss Tom Frieden about a travel ban. "He explained to me that these are fledgling democracies in Africa and a travel ban could affect their economies and harm them." The Factor was incensed by that disclosure: "Are you kidding me? His job is to protect us, not worry about whether an economy might be damaged. This guy has got to go!"
Ebola in America
Guest:Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck, who lives near Dallas, gave his assessment of the Ebola panic. "The government's policies make absolutely no sense," he declared. "For them to say they are not going to stop flights doesn't make any sense. We can help in Africa by flying people there, but a quarantine is necessary. This has happened from the beginning of time, everybody knows that you quarantine. This nurse who has Ebola flew to Cleveland and back and they're looking for the other people who were on the flight. They're banning our citizens from flying, but they won't ban foreigners from flying into our country. It's madness!" The Factor concluded, "This is all built around political correctness and it's a dereliction of leadership."
Ebola Claims Put to the Truth Test
Guests:Molly Line & Eric Shawn
Last month President Obama reassured people that Ebola can not be contracted by casual contact. Fox News anchor Molly Line and Eric Shawn administered some truth serum to that claim. "There's a glaring omission in that statement," Shawn stated. "They have been telling us that Ebola is only spread with direct contact through bodily fluids, but that includes mucus. That means if someone has it and they sneeze, it is possible to catch Ebola by ingesting those droplets." Line turned to the TV ad created by a far-left group that essentially blames Ebola on Republican budget cuts. "This is a terribly creepy ad that is totally false," she said. "It is true that the discretionary budget has been cut, but the CDC's budget for emerging and infectious diseases actually increased by about $109-million in the last four years. Congress actually gave the CDC more money than the White House asked for in 2013 and 2014."
The Battle for the Senate
Guests:James Rosen & Carl Cameron
Democrats are in danger of losing the senate which would put president Obama in a very tough spot. Carl Cameron on that. Also,
James Rosen is being called a co-conspirator in an info leak case. Don't miss Washington Beat for the latest.
Ebola Danger
Guest:Dennis Miller
The Factor invited Dennis Miller to share his observations on NBC medical correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman, who breached her Ebola quarantine earlier this week. "I would like to say Snyderman might lose her job," Miller said, "but the simple fact is that she has probably put herself at the front of the list for Surgeon General. And she may be our 'Ebola czar' down the road. We're a screw-up nation now, shouldn't Nancy Snyderman be fired? She's the chief medical correspondent and she walked out of an Ebola quarantine to get soup!" The Factor was more forgiving, saying, "Maybe I would suspend her, I don't know if I would fire her." Miller concluded on a very ominous note, saying, "I had no idea it was this bad until I heard that Obama canceled a fund raiser tonight."
