On Wednesday, I appeared on NewsNation with Chris Cuomo and Rosie O'Donnell to talk about her long-time feud with Donald Trump. Now, I don't usually do this kind of thing. No panels, no debate with anyone other than the anchor of the show.

However, I made an exception at NewsNation's request for historical reasons. Years ago, I had Mr. Trump on The O'Reilly Factor and suggested to him that personal attacks were useless.

NN used that clip and then the discussion unfolded. Ms. O'Donnell, a devoted liberal, put forth that Mr. Trump wants to eliminate democracy and be a dictator. She used the Biden campaign's mantra: "Democracy is on trial in November."

I opined that in his four years of governance, President Trump respected the democratic process until the January 6 fiasco. Rosie believes Trump wanted violence at the Capitol. After extensive investigation, I do not concur, citing an array of exculpatory evidence.

Trump's mistake was not condemning the riot quickly enough.

Of course, Rosie O'Donnell has already convicted Trump of sedition, so my words were dismissed.

Then she said the former president hurt the American people during Covid. That was new. So, I cited a thing that liberal Americans adore: the vax. Trump's deals got it to the marketplace in less than a year.

Rosie had no reply.

It was an interesting segment and we've posted it on the site. Once again, liberal people essentially operate on emotion.

I do not. Facts win the argument.

Enjoy the weekend. New column Sunday.
